A guide to Rockie Canvas

Contents
How does Rockie Canvas work?
Rockie Chat is built for investigating: you ask a question, get an answer, and keep digging. But the people running your restaurants day to day, like GMs and area managers, usually don't want to type questions. They want the numbers that matter laid out and waiting for them.
Rockie Canvas gives them that. Pick a ready-made dashboard from the Template Gallery, add it to your account and share it with the people who need it. Every time someone opens it, it shows current data for their own locations.
Like Rockie Chat, Canvas only uses the data and metrics your Momos account already has, and follows the metric names and definitions set in your Hero Metrics settings.
This guide covers what's in the Template Gallery, how to add and share a dashboard, and how access works.
What Rockie Canvas handles for you
Set it up once
An Admin adds a dashboard and shares it with the right User Roles. Nobody has to rebuild a report each week.
Everyone sees their own view
A dashboard is a definition, not a snapshot. Each person who opens it sees the same layout, filled with data for the locations they're assigned to. A GM sees their store, an area manager sees their region, and HQ sees the whole brand.
Always current
Dashboards update as new feedback comes in, so the numbers are ready whenever your team opens them.
From insight to action
Use View Tickets on a dashboard to jump to the related tickets in Momos and act on what you see.
What's in the Template Gallery
At launch, these dashboards are free to add:
Dashboard | What it shows | Good for |
Categories Insights | Top complaint and compliment themes across locations, and how they're trending | Spotting what guests praise and complain about most |
Survey Analytics | Survey volumes, scores and drop-off | Seeing how surveys are performing and where guests stop answering |
Simple Operator Dashboard | Overall satisfaction by location, over time | A quick weekly check for GMs and area managers |
Operator Customer Experience | A day-to-day view of guest experience for operators | Running the shift with the latest guest feedback |
Review Analytics | Review ratings, volumes and themes by platform and location, over time | Tracking ratings across Google, Yelp and delivery apps |
SLA Tracking Dashboard | How quickly feedback and tickets are replied to and resolved against your SLA targets, by location | Keeping response times on target |
More templates will be added over time. Some advanced dashboards, such as competitive benchmarking, are available as premium options. Contact your Account Manager to learn more.
Add a dashboard (Admins)
Open Rockie and go to Canvas.
Open the Template Gallery and pick a dashboard.
Add it to your account. It appears in your dashboard list.
Open the dashboard and use the filters to change the date range, locations or channels.
Share a dashboard with your team (Admins)
New dashboards are visible only to you until you share them.
Open the dashboard and click Share.
Choose who can see it: Everyone on your account, or specific User Roles.
Save. Users with a selected role will see the dashboard in their Canvas list.
Shared users get view-only access. Editing, deleting and sharing stay with Admins. Removing a role from a dashboard revokes access straight away.
How access works
Canvas in User Roles
Rockie Canvas is turned on for User Roles by default, so anyone you share a dashboard with can open it. To hide Canvas for a role, go to Settings > User Roles, open the role, set Rockie Canvas to None and save. Admins always have full Canvas access.
Access is based on locations
Like Rockie Chat, Canvas access is based on locations only. A dashboard shows all the data it contains for the viewer's assigned locations, across every location-scoped module (including feedback, offers, orders and Alfie Chat), even data their role can't see elsewhere in Momos. Viewers also see feedback with no location attached (shown as "No Location"), such as some cases and Alfie Chat conversations.
For example, an area manager whose role doesn't include Surveys in Inbox will still see survey data for their locations on a Survey Analytics dashboard.
Before you share a dashboard, check which roles should see all the data it contains for their locations. If you want to share it but are concerned about some of the data shown, Momos can create a custom dashboard for those roles. Talk to your Account Manager about your request and any associated cost.
Dashboards with case or inquiry data
Some dashboards include guest case and inquiry data. If a User Role is restricted from certain inquiry types or from cases (for example HR, legal or food-safety inquiries), you can still share those dashboards with that role, but the role will see that data for their locations on the dashboard, so whether to share is at your discretion. If you'd rather keep it out, click Request custom dashboard or contact your Account Manager, and Momos can build a version for that role with the restricted data filtered out. Depending on the level of customization, there may be a cost.
Does Canvas use credits?
Viewing a dashboard doesn't use your Rockie credits. Your team can open shared dashboards as often as they like.
Here's what's going to improve
Before Rockie Canvas | After Rockie Canvas |
Someone rebuilds the same report every week | Add a dashboard once and it stays current |
Every role gets the same generic report | Each person sees the same dashboard for their own locations |
GMs wait for HQ to send them numbers | GMs open their dashboard whenever they need it |
Spotting a problem and acting on it happen in different places | Go from a dashboard to the related tickets in one click |
Tips for getting the most out of Canvas
Start with one dashboard per role. For example, Simple Operator Dashboard for GMs and Categories Insights for HQ.
Share by User Role, not Everyone, when a dashboard includes data some roles shouldn't see.
Use the filters. Narrow by date range, location or channel to focus a conversation.
Pair it with Rockie Chat. Use Canvas to spot what changed, then ask Rockie Chat why.
Tell us what's missing. Canvas is in Beta, and your feedback shapes what we build next.
Getting started with Rockie Canvas
Open Rockie and go to Canvas.
Add one or two dashboards from the Template Gallery and explore them with the filters.
Check which User Roles should see each dashboard, keeping location-based access in mind.
Share the dashboards with those roles.
Let your team know where to find them, and share this guide so they know what they're looking at.
Custom dashboards
Need something the templates don't cover? Momos can build a custom dashboard for you, for example one for a specific team, metric set or fiscal calendar, or one that leaves out certain feedback types. Click Talk to Momos in Rockie or contact your Account Manager. Depending on the level of customization, there may be a cost.
What's coming next
AI summaries: a short Rockie-written summary of what each dashboard is showing.
Scheduled email reports: get a dashboard delivered to your inbox on a schedule.
Ask Rockie about a dashboard: open Rockie Chat on any dashboard or chart to dig deeper.
Mobile app: view dashboards in the Momos mobile app. Dashboards are available on the web app for now.
PDF export: download a dashboard as it appears on screen.
FAQ
Why can't my team see a dashboard I added?
New dashboards are private to you until you share them. Open the dashboard, click Share, and add Everyone or their User Role. Also check that Rockie Canvas isn't set to None for their role.
Why do two people see different numbers on the same dashboard?
Each person sees data for their own assigned locations. That's expected.
Can I edit a template?
Not yet. If you need changes, ask your Account Manager about a custom dashboard.
Can my team change or delete a dashboard?
No. Shared users have view-only access. Editing, deleting and sharing stay with Admins.
